Sun and Moon 15th Birthday Cake

Description

I made this sun-and-moon cake for a 15th birthday, pairing a cool blue crescent with a warm golden sun. White clouds, stars and a small crescent detail decorate the blue section, while the golden section brings a contrasting swirl of warm colour and decorative detail to the arrangement.

The two celestial shapes sit together on one board, creating a birthday centrepiece with a distinct day-and-night theme. Blue-and-white piped borders frame the moon, and the gold decoration gives the sun its own character. Birthday lettering on the board completes the design without taking attention away from the two shapes.

If you would like a celestial birthday cake, I can discuss the age, wording and colour palette you have in mind. This design can serve as inspiration for a celebration built around suns, moons, stars or a favourite night-sky theme. Let me know your date and number of guests when you enquire. Collection is from Botley, near Southampton, Hampshire.
